DC Kulgam reviews power scenario in district

KULGAM, DECEMBER 19: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review overall power scenario and the status of ongoing developmental works being carried out by the KPDCL in the district.

The Executive Engineer KPDCL informed the chair that out of 248 works under PRI grants 166 works stand completed and 83 works are under progress.

During the meeting, the DC enquired about the availability, demand and position of power supply in the district and also took a comprehensive review of the work on other vital projects spearheaded by the various wings of KPDCL under various schemes.

While reviewing progress made in augmentation of 33KV Kulgam D.H.Pora line the concerned informed the chair that the augmentation of this line will be completed before 15 Jan.

Dr Bilal instructed the concerned to ensure intime completion of augmentation of this line.

The DC directed the concerned to ensure completion of all other works meant for augmenting power supply in the district within the given time and keep men and machinery in ready mode to ensue early restoration of power supply during winters whenever required.

The meeting was attended by JD-Planning, SE KPDCL, Ex. Engineers from various wings of KPDCL, AEEs and other officers.
