Kargil: Chairman/Chief Executive Councilor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan today visited Arham Group of College in Pune, Maharashtra.
Executive Councilor RD, Tourism and Zanskar Affairs, Er Phunsok Tashi, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Kargil A G Zargar, Assistant Director Information Kargil, Padma Angmo, Headquarter Assistant Arifa Iqbal, Reader to Deputy Commissioner Mohd Hassan accompanied the CEC during the visit.
The CEC inspected the campus and visited various sections including classrooms, laboratories and other sections. President Arham College, Dr. Shailesh Pagarayia informed about the various activities and courses undergoing in the college. He expressed optimism over the academic exchange between the college and Kargil by adopting students from Kargil.
Dr. Pagariya also informed that a student from Kargil has already been adopted and the college is willing to provide free education in various courses to meritorious students from Kargil if suggested by the LAHDC.
Khan assured that LAHDC will explore every possibility in shortlisting deserving meritorious students in the district. During the meeting, possibilities for skill development for Kargil students were also discussed. Earlier, the CEC along with the dignitaries were received with a warm welcome and were felicitated by the college management in a traditional manner.
