SIT Cyber Crime Unit solves financial fraud case, recovers lost mobile

Leh: The SIT Cyber Crime unit of District Police Leh have resolved a financial fraud case and also recovered a lost mobile in other case.

According to police, a person namely Akbar Khan had lodged a complaint on November 25 to the effect that an unauthorised transaction took place from his account in which Rs 38000 were withdrawn fraudulently. After quick and strenuous effort by the Cyber Crime Unit, Leh the full amount has been recovered and credited into the victim’s account.

In another case, a mobile lost complaint was received by Cyber Crime Unit, Leh on November 28 in which the lost mobile of a person namely Stanzin Kunkhen recovered and handed over to the complainant.

It is pertinent to mention for the information of general public that whosoever gets victimized by Cyber/financial fraud scams should immediately report to Cyber Crime Unit district Police Leh in time for immediate action on mobile No. 9541900291, Landline No. 01982-252200, Dial 1930 or Dial 112 or visit the nearest police station.
