Leh: BJP State President Phunchok Stanzin conducted a two-day tour to Nubra wherein he meld meeting with people and party functionaries to review the developmental needs and issues. The tour concluded today.
On first day of his tour, Stanzin chaired a meeting at BJP district office at Sumoor. Deputy Chairman LAHDC Leh Tsering Angchuk; Executive Councillor, Ghulam Mehdi; Councillors, Kunzang Lotus; Councillor Rigzin Lundup; BDC and the executive members and the Karyakartas of BJP Nubra attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed developmental work of the Nubra, in particular, and Ladakh, in general. Additionally, party workers led by President Stanzin Delaik extended gratitude to Member of Parliament, Ladakh Shri Jamyang Tsering Namgyal; Chairman/CEC LAHDC Leh Adv. Tashi Gyalson; Councillors and the concerned officials for initiating work on Transmission line worth Rs 1200 cr; Progress of Udaan where 28 kanals land provided within Thoise and another 100 kanal to be provided outside Thoise; medical equipment worth Rs six crore for Diskit Hospital; and submission of request for early declaration of Nubra as a separate district.
A similar meeting was scheduled by the Turtuk Mandal President, Mussa Fighter at Turtuk on next day and attended by BJP State President, Phunchok Stanzin; Executive Councillor, Ghulam Mehdi; Turtuk BJP Youth Mandal President, Abdul Karim Bagdur; executive members and the Karyakartas of BJP Turtuk Mandal.
The developmental discussion also took place in the meeting and members highlighted various major points related to the upgradation of PHC Hospital to PSC and the provision of a Degree College. The members also extended gratitude to MP Ladakh for initiation of work at Turtuk Hanu road.
On the occasion, 15 youths joined Bharatiya Janata Party for the betterment and development of Turtuk, in particular, and Ladakh, in general.
