SAMBA, NOVEMBER 28: District Administration Samba today organised a series of activities across 4 Municipalities of the district under the week long Jan Abhiyan Shehri campaign, a prelude to the My Town My Pride program.
J&K Government’s Jan Abhiyan Shehri programme aims to achieve transparent and effective delivery of public services in the urban areas and to ensure 100% saturation of deliverables under various schemes.
The Jan Abhiyan Shehri Programme, a precursor to My town My pride programme, was carried out at Municipality Hall Bari-Brahmana, Municipality Hall Vijaypur, Municipality Hall Ramgarh and Samba Fort where a large number of public, elected representatives and employees of various departments participated.
In Bari-Brahmana the event was inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner Samba, Rakesh Dubey wherein street vendor licenses were distributed among beneficiaries. The ADC laid emphasis upon generating maximum awareness about online services among the public and for reaching out to eligible individuals for the saturation of beneficiary oriented schemes.
During the Jan Abhiyan Shehri programme various cases under Mumkin Scheme, PMJAY (Golden Cards), self employment schemes and PMAY-U were sanctioned and disbursed on the spot.
Special Digital service camps were also organized in each Urban Local Bodies for awareness as well as public service delivery through online mode. The Digital camps gave information on various online services including revenue online services, social welfare online services, online birth and death certificates, online building permission etc.
Door to door awareness was also generated on ban on Single Use Plastic, aadhar generation and updating, UDID Cards, segregation of waste material, besides development aspirations of local wards were also taken up during the day long activities.
