Leh, Nov 25: The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, RK Mathur, today called on the Hon’ble Union Minister of State, Science & Technology, Earth Sciences and Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Dr Jitendra Singh, in New Delhi.
LG Mathur informed about the progress of the setting up of India’s first dark sky sanctuary at Hanley. He discussed the Rozgar Mela being organised across India to achieve the target set by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India to provide 10 lakh jobs to unemployed youth across India over 18 months and also job opportunities for youth from Ladakh through various gazetted and non-gazetted posts.
Chairman/Managing Director (CMD), National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Limited, Gurdeep Singh, met LG Mathur and gave a detailed presentation on the green hydrogen roadmap for Ladakh to achieve the goal of making Ladakh a carbon-neutral region.
