Leh, Nov 19: District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, organised a State-level Folk Dance Competition for the Government schools of the Leh district. The program was held under the Population Education Scheme, an Initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
In the competition, Govt Higher Secondary School, Nyoma secured 1st position, Govt Higher Secondary School, Timisgam secured 2nd position, and Govt Higher Secondary School Sakti and Khaltse secured 3rd position.
The judges of the competition were Dr. Thupstan Norbu, Editor, Culture Academy, Leh; Sonam Angchok, Director, All India Radio Leh, and Dorjey Stakmo, renowned Ladakhi singer.
The winner will participate in the National-Level Competition scheduled to be held from Dec 6th to 9th at NCERT, New Delhi.
