JAMMU, NOVEMBER 15: Secretary, Health and Medical Education, Bhupinder Kumar, today paid a surprise visit to 104 Centralised Health Helpline established at Nagrota, Jammu under J&K National Health Mission through Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
During the visit, Secretary reviewed the availability of range of services being provided through the call center like medical advice for preliminary diagnosis of symptoms by skilled medical professionals. He also assessed other services like counselling services on mental health, chronic diseases, psychological distress, early childhood development and grievances redressal besides seeking feedback from general public as well as field functionaries such as ASHAs and ANM regarding various National Health Mission Programmes, AB-PMJAY Sehat etc.
Bhupinder Kumar, while appreciating the functioning of 104 Centralised Health Helpline, issued directions for further strengthening the service so that better services are provided to the common people.
During his visit, Secretary was accompanied by Director Planning NHM, J&K, Rajini Charak; Dr Anil Manhas, Programme Manager, 104 Centralised Health Helpline, Dr Jitender Mehta, Programme Manager, State Health Society and other officers of State Health Society, NHM, J&K.
