Jammu Sep 30 :- Continuing his endeavour to provide more & better development & civic amenities in Jammu City, Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta today chaired a meeting of school management/ development committee of Govt. Girls High School Rajpura Mangotrian situated in ward no. 33.
Madam Savita Kumari I/c Head Master alongwith all the staff members as well as Sh. Om Parkash, Sh. Baba Sharma, Sh. Rakesh Bali, Sh. Kushant Daffara alongwith others members of School Development Committee & prominent inhabitants of ward no. 33 & 29 were also remained present there during the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor told that it is a very old School which has been situated at a very prominent place where Girls in large numbers from Rajpura, Shakti Nagar, Shiv Nagar are studying and getting quality education as all the staff members are very dedicated, had working & showing excellent results in academic as well in other curricular activities every year.
He further told that as per the demands of the Principal, Staff members & requirement for the students, a well furnished play ground has been developed. Besides this, the laboratory for Children, Chowkidar room, kitchen for preparing mid-day meals for the students, separate bath rooms & other allied works has already been done with the active support of all the school management committee members in collaboration with Jammu Municipal Corporation and Director of School Education.
He also threw light on the initiatives taken by Late Sh. Vishwanand, Lt. Sh. Des Raj and others who gave a lot of contribution towards Development of this School.
He also appeals to the staff members & inhabitants of the area to plant more & more saplings in & around vacant space available near the school for making an eco-friendly atmosphere in the locality.
