Jammu Sep 21 :- Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and PDP President Mehbooba Mufti accused the BJP government of destroying all religious and Sufi traditions of Kashmir to implement a divisive agenda. The former chief minister was reacting to an order issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board on Monday banning all ‘dastarbandi’ (turban tying on the head as a mark of respect to an influential person) ceremonies.
Mehbooba wrote in the tweet, ‘Hypocrisy knows no bounds as the BJP itself leaves no opportunity to tie a turban in a temple, dargah or gurudwara. They are not ready to stop till they destroy all our religious and Sufi traditions to take control by implementing their divisive agenda.
Explain that the order states that Dastarbandi is being done for political leaders according to their political affiliation. The order states that Dastarbandi should be done only to honor those who have achieved achievements in the religious field.
