Srinagar Sep 21 :- IAS officer Shah Faesal has filed an application in the Supreme Court seeking to recuse himself from the petition challenging the order to abrogate Article 370. Shah Faesal along with some others had filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court.
It is to be known that a few months back, Faesal was reinstated and appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Culture. The lawyer associated with this case said that Shah Faesal has filed an application in the Supreme Court in June, requesting to remove his name from a petition filed against the abolition of Article 370. However, his petition is yet to be listed.
In the year 2019, IAS officer Faisal had resigned from the service. After this he formed his own political party. A few months ago the government decided to reinstate Faesal. After which Faesal had filed his application in the Supreme Court in June last.(AGENCIES)
