Jammu Aug 11 :- Rakshabandhan, a festival symbolizing the affection of brother and sister, is being celebrated with great pomp. However, due to rain in Jammu division, the sisters had some difficulty in reaching their brothers’ house. The auspicious time for tying Rakhi is from 8:54 to 9:48 in the night and 7:06 in the morning on Friday. Due to being Bhadra, the astrologers of the state have different opinions. Astrologers say that Rakhi should not be tied during Bhadra period.

According to Mahant Rohit Shastri, the full moon of Shukla Paksha of Shravan month will start at 10:39 am on 11th August and will last till 7:06 am on 12th August. But, on August 11, there will be Bhadra Kaal from 10:39 am to 8:53 pm. According to the scriptures, the festival of Rakhi should not be celebrated during Bhadra period. In such a situation, the auspicious time for tying Rakhi on August 11 will be from 8:54 to 9:48 pm.

According to Pandit Lakshmi Narayan, the abode of Bhadra is in Patal Lok. Therefore, it will not have that much effect on the earth. Sisters can tie rakhi on brother’s wrist at any time.

Sisters rakhis, brothers buy gifts

Two years after the restrictions of the Corona epidemic, the festival of Rakshabandhan is being celebrated with great pomp, for which there is enthusiasm among the people. A day before the festival, there was a huge crowd in the markets for shopping. Sisters have bought rakhis and brothers have bought gifts. On Wednesday, the city’s parade, Raghunath, Purani Mandi and Kachhi Chhawani and other markets were very bright throughout the day. Rakhis are available in the markets ranging from Rs 10 to Rs 500.
