Kathua Aug 10 :- To generate the feeling of patriotism , IRP 19th battalion today organized speech delivering competition/symposium on the topic “HAR GHAR TIRANGA : A GREAT INNOVATION FOR PATRIOTISM AND DIGNITY” as part of “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav” at Naik Shri Yog Raj Singh Govt.Higher Secondary School Barwal kathua where hundreds of students , teachers, lecturers & Police officers were present. Patriotic songs with dance presented on the occasion by the students of the famous Barwal Higher Sec.School remained centre of attraction.
Miss Prachi Jasrotia D/O Sh Kuldeep Singh R/O Barwal student of class 12th was adjudged as 1st best speaker in the symposium and was honoured with cash reward of Rs.3000.00 along with Trophy & certificate by SSP Benam Tosh Commandant IRP-19th Bn Kathua. Miss Manvi Jasrotia D/O Sh. Rakesh Singh R/O Barwal student of class 12th was adjudged as 2nd best speaker in the symposium and bestowed with cash reward of Rs.2000.00 along with Trophy & certificate. Miss Mehak Sharma D/O Kamal Kishore R/O Barwal student of class 11th was adjudged as 3rd best speaker in the symposium and conferred with cash reward of Rs.1000.00 along with Trophy & certificate. However students namely Miss Niharikha Sharma, Miss Preeti Devi, Mr Sakshit Singh,Miss Muskan Sharma & Mr.Kanav Jasrotia who also took part in the symposium and delivered wonderful speeches were also conferred with consolation prizes on the occasion.
Earlier, Smt. Makhni Devi Principal HSS Barwal welcomed SSP Benam Tosh and thanked him for choosing this school for organizing a grand educative and informative programme. Principal while speaking on the occasion expressed hoped that Jammu & Kashmir Police will organize such events in future as also. Other prominent figures who remained present on the occasion were : Vice Principal Smt. Manju Bala, Sr.Lecturer Jiwan Kishore, Sr.Lect. Pawan Kumar, Sr.Lect.Surinder Kumar, Sr.Lect.Bindu Rani,Sr.Lect. Bharat Bushan and international players of Police Tarun Gandotra and Gulzar Ahmad.
SSP Benam Tosh Commandant IRP-19th Bn ,on behalf of Jammu & Kashmir Police, handed over Tiranga to the Principal Smt.Makhni Devi in the presence of staff and students and thanks her for cooperating with the Police in the interest of society and nation. Moreover, Miss Riya Rajput student of 11th Class presented self prepared painting containing patriotic theme to SSP Benam Tosh.
On the occasion, SSP Benam Tosh said that Har Ghar Tiranga programme will certainly infuse energy into the lives of the people, generate wave of patriotism across the country which will completely wipe out crimes and militancy from the society. He further said that Tiranga at every house will bring about new ray of hope, optimism and desire among all the people to contribute to the nation building and comprehensive development. “Ahead of Independence Day, it is opportune time to make specific contribution with respect to the nation by creating awareness about Har Ghar Tiranga programme and everyone should come forward to take part in this great campaign in the national interest.IRP 19th battalion is going to organize special Tiranga March on 12.08.2022 in Kathua to create awareness among masses regarding Har Ghar Tiranga programme,” Benam Tosh Said.
The programme ended with the vote of thanks presented by Smt. Manju Bala Vice Principal.
