Srinagar Aug 05 :- Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday inaugurated the 150-bed Ujala Cygnus Kashmir Super Specialty Hospital at Nowgam, Srinagar. Pursuing the goal of providing world-class healthcare and critical care at an affordable cost to people living in Tier II and Tier III cities, Ujala Cygnus Group of Hospitals announced the launch of its hospital in Kashmir.

Probal Ghosal, Executive Director, Ujala Cygnus Group of Hospitals, Dr. Shuchin Bajaj, Founder and Director, and Dr. Dinesh Batra, Dr. Parvez Sofi, Managing Director, Ujala Cygnus Kashmir Super Specialty Hospital were also present on the occasion. The company manager told that Ujala Group has established its 18th hospital in Srinagar. This hospital is a 150 bedded super specialty hospital. Apart from Srinagar, people of Rajouri, Ladakh, Leh, Anantnag, Bandipur, Baramulla, Budgam, Kupwara, Pulwama, Shopian, Kishtwar, Panch, Ramban, Kathua will benefit from this hospital.

This new hospital in Srinagar offers interventional cardiology, gastroenterology, neurosurgery, orthopedic and joint replacement surgery, laparoscopic surgery, gynecology, paediatrics and neonatology, internal medicine, urology, rheumatology, oncosurgery, ophthalmology, pulmonology, nephrology, neurology, round the clock trauma and critical. Excellent secondary and tertiary care facilities will be available in Care, ENT, Plastic and Vascular Surgery. The hospital manager said that state-of-the-art radiology department, round-the-clock pharmacy, lab and ambulance facilities would also be available in the hospital. It also has a 24X7 toll-free mental health helpline facility.

Probal Ghosal, Executive Chairman, Ujala Cygnus Group of Hospitals said, “The aim of setting up the hospital here is to reach out to the most remote parts of our country and also to provide medical facilities to the remotest areas of Kashmir Valley. The launch of this hospital will strengthen the government’s initiative to provide quality healthcare to all. Dr. Dinesh Batra’s vision has been to provide quality facilities and establish a super specialty hospital. He has been a key leader in health care reforms for more than 30 years. Dr. Dinesh has also been instrumental in setting up hospitals for the Primus Group. Primus Group has established its hospitals in Ambuja and Nigeria.
