Jammu Aug 05:- Online registration for Army ‘Agniveer Recruitment Rally’ for Jammu region will start from August 5 (Friday) and will close on September 3.

PRO Defence Jammu Lt Col Devender Anand said, “The recruitment rally will be conducted at Jorawar Stadium, Sunjuwan Military Station, Jammu from October 07-20, for the candidates from Udhampur, Rajouri, Poonch, Reasi, Ramban, Doda, Kishtwar, Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts.”

“The rally will be conducted for recruitment into Indian Army as an Agniveer under Agnipath Scheme, Col Anand said, further adding, “all eligible unmarried male candidates born between 01 October 1999 to 01 April 2005 (both dates inclusive) with requisite educational qualification can apply for Agniveer (General Duty), Agniveer Technical (All Arms), Agniveer Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical and Agniveer Tradesmen (8th & 10th Pass) categories.”

Col Anand said that aspiring candidates have to apply online through the official website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in only.

“Army Recruiting Office, Jammu has advised that recruitment into the Army is a free service and selection is fair and purely based on merit.”

Cautioning the aspirants to beware of self styled touts and fraudsters, Col Anand said, “No money is required to be paid to anyone and all candidates are advised to stay away from touts (Dalals). ”
