Jammu Aug 04 : Arnia: Ravinder Raina, Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President and Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister accompanied by former MLA Ashwani Sharma, former MLA Kamal Arora, Municipal Committee Chairman Ramesh Saini, DDC Surekha Bhagat, BJP Mandal President Arnia Devinder Singh, District Vice-President Bharat Bhushan Sharma, SC Morcha Spokesperson ML Rao and other senior leaders of party paid rich tributes to the Martyrs of Praja Parishad movement at Arnia.

Ravinder Raina while paying warm tributes to the martyrs on the occasion said that the great people are born once, but live for the eternity in the heart of people. He said that martyr Krishan Lal, while associated with the movement, agitated lot in his life and finally sacrificed his life for the society. We bow to him and all of them who have sacrificed their lives for our future. He said that it is the result of the sacrifices of these great personalities in the past that the erstwhile State of J&K could be saved from severe devastation and now under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, it has become possible today to fully integrate Jammu & Kashmir with the rest of India.

Kavinder Gupta recalled the life events of martyr Krishan Lal and said that he laid down his life for the society and the Nation in 1972. He said that we should follow the footsteps and learn from the lives of such great men. They teach us a lot about out duties towards the Society and we must remember them every year, he added.

Ashwani Sharma said that during the celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava, we must remember the sacrifices of all those who laid down their lives for the Nation.

Kamal Arora said that we must remember the sacrifices of these personalities and convey their tales to future generations too.
