JKECC holds convention at Srinagar, pledged to work for the welfare of employees of UT

Srinagar Aug 04 :-  Jammu and Kashmir Employees Coordination Committee (JKECC) under the president ship of President, Shah Fayaz, who is also Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Association, National Convenor, all India pension restoration united front (AITRUF) and Core Member of Indian Public Service Employees Federation (IPSEF) held a grand convention here at Srinagar today.

The convention was started with warm welcome note by Er. Altaf Rasool, General Secretary, JKECC. While extending warm and cordial welcome and greetings to the core leaders and members of JKECC and its affiliated units, Secretary, JKECC, Er. Altaf, said that JKECC is an umbrella organisation of different departmental associations/ unions and is the largest organization representing 4.5 lakh employees of J&K . JKECC is affiliated with Indian Public Service Employees Federation ( IPSEF) and is the largest organization in J&K working under the constitution of India and working for integrity, prosperity, peace and development of the nation.

Shah Fayaz along with JKECC Apex Leadership have threadbare deliberations about various issues of Jammu and Kashmir employees for quite a long time.

President, Shah in a statement issued to CNS, said that leadership of JKECC and various affiliated departments met here at Srinagar to discuss future strategy for strengthening the employees associations and for redressal of various employees issues. Shah said that JKECC leadership will address and submit joint memorandums to heads of various departments for early redressal of genuine issues of employees.

Shah while appreciating the role and support by various departments said, “We have submitted various representations and missives to various top corners of various departments for redressal and addressing various employees issues but unfortunately some departments have not taken any solid steps yet.” “We appeal to the LG Government for its kind intervention for the same”, Shah added.

The convention took various decisions about addressing various employees’ issues. It was decided that shortly after 15th August, JKECC along with leaderships from affiliated departments would frame protest demonstration for employees of Jammu and Kashmir to address their various issues. During the convention, Shah directed the leadership that to make strategy at grassroot levels in their departments for strengthening the departmental associations and directed for smooth work conduct and dedicated service at their work place. He assured the government that the leadership would do it’s best to make governance more strong and sound by providing better employee aspects at offices and departments.

Meanwhile, Shah Fayaz, President, JKECC while briefing about today’s delegate meeting said that Jammu and Kashmir Employees Coordination Committee submitted a detailed Memorandum for major demands regarding issues of employees working in Jammu and Kashmir and while highlighting the role of Vocational Teachers in building the skilled forces of employees, Shah expressed its solidarity and support with it’s affiliated unit of vocational trainers, Jammu and Kashmir Vocational Teachers Welfare Association. Meanwhile, JKECC leadership under the kind incumbency of its President, Shah Fayaz visited Press Colony, Srinagar and participated in the protest of Jammu and Kashmir Vocational Trainers, who are on protest since past few days to address their genuine issues. The leadership paid solidarity and expressed its full support and cooperation to JKVTA for addressing their genuine issues.
