This event is being  performed under the programme launched by the Prime Minister of India,Mr. Narendra Modi on Tuesday to pay homage to the designer of the Indian National flag, Pingali Venkayya on his birth anniversary. The 2nd of August being the birth date of Pingali Venkayya being a very special day for all of us and to mark the birth anniversary of such a patriotic citizen of our country , it has been decided that our nation is all set to celebrate  Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, by hoisting  HarGharTiranga, from August 2nd to August 15th with regard to collective movement to celebrate our Tricolour.

Besides, bpj senior leader &Deputy Mayor Madam  Adv. Purnima Sharma urged all to use ‘Tiranga’ as profile picture in social media accounts between August 2 to August 15.” The deputy Mayor also referred to the speech of  Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his 91st edition of the monthly radio programme, Mann Ki Baat,  that India is set to witness a glorious and historic moment as it completes 75 years of Independence.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of  its people, culture and achievements.
