Srinagar, Aug 1 :- Dozens of employees of the Centaur Lake View Hotel on Monday staged a protest here demanding restoration of the hotel administration to the Hotel Corp of India (HCI) and reinstatement of its sacked employees.

The slogan-shouting employees assembled at the Press Enclave on Residency road demanding that the Jammu and Kashmir administration revert the hotel to HCI so that the employees get their jobs back.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration on June 14 served the eviction notice to the HCI, in effect leaving the 160 employees and two daily wagers jobless.

“We are well aware how to run the hotel since 1983 and it was fetching Rs 2 crore income every month,” one of the senior employees told the media.
