Jammu Jul 28 :- Public Works (R&B) Department has ordered termination of services of a female Junior Engineer for her unauthorized absence from duty.

The said JE, Minha Hanief, who was on deputation to Town Planning Organization, Kashmir, was a Child Care Leave for 120 days on November 2, 2018 and did not report back on duty despite repeated reminders.

She had joined the service as JE on February 1, 2012 and served the department only upto September 2, 2012. Thereafter, she remained on leave sanctioned/un-sanctioned. The leave was sanctioned from time to time from September 2013 to February 2019 and hence she was not attending duties for the last nine years.

The action was taken in terms of Article 128 Volume-I of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Service Regulation, 1956.
