Kargil Jul 28 :- The Department of Geography, Government Degree College Kargil today conducted one-day field trip for students of 5th semester to Kartse-Bartso region of Kargil district.
The objective of the said trip was to familiarize the students with the geomorphological processes such as erosion, valley incision, waterfall, floods, solifluction and human phenomenon, such as settlement, tourism and cultivation in the region.
Students also got an opportunity to visit the Department of Geography, University of Ladakh, Khumbathang and interacted with the faculty and students therein.
Students visited Kartse Khar, Chamba, Yarkashing, Bartso and also had discussion about the tourism potential in the region. Hundred and ten students and four faculty members accompanied the students on the said trip.
