Jammu Jul 27 :- The state probe agency on Tuesday filed a chargesheet in the special NIA court against five, including the Pakistani Jaish-e-Mohammed commander, in the terror funding case. Last year, Rs 43 lakh was recovered from a vehicle in Kashmir. In this case this charge sheet was filed.

The accused include terrorist Ashiq Nengru, a resident of South Kashmir, who is currently in Pakistan. Others include Muzmil Ahmed Malik residents of Pulwama, Ravi Kumar, Jaideep Dhawan, Amarbar Singh and Gopi Mahal residents of Punjab. On 16 November 2021, these people were caught in Jammu with Rs 43 lakh in cash. Earlier, the SIA had also filed another chargesheet against two people in the same case.

The chargesheet was filed against Moujam Parvez and Umar Farooq, residents of Pulwama. These people had brought money from Amritsar in Punjab. SIA investigation revealed that accused Parvez and Farooq had conspired with Muzammil Malik and accused Nengroo. Malik had facilitated terror funding, which arranged for the movement of Parvez and Farooq in his truck. This money was given by gangsters and drug smugglers of Punjab.

Parvez and Farooq had received illegal terror funding amounting to Rs 15 lakh as per the instructions received from Pakistan-based Designated Terrorist (Nengroo) from Amarbir Singh in Amritsar at a pre-determined location on the Amritsar Highway.

His close aides Ravi Kumar and Jaideep Dhawan assisted him. Weapons were also recovered from their residence. Amarbir Singh is a gangster in Punjab linked to narcotics and arms smuggler Baljinder Singh alias Billa Mandiala and involved in over 23 cases of murder and extortion.(AGENCIES)
