Jammu Jul 21 :- To cut down on the mining mafia, the government has decided to make the mining department completely paperless in the state. According to Amit Sharma, Administrative Secretary, Mining Department, Jammu, there will be no human intervention in the mining contract. To eliminate the possibilities of corruption or black marketing, the department will be made completely paperless. The contracts for sand, gravel and other mining materials will be done through online medium in a completely transparent and accountable manner.
Allotment of small mining contracts etc. will be done only through the e-market place of the government. The work of preparing the portal and app of the mining department is going on. With the help of digital reforms in the department, the work of creation of artificial intelligence, RAS system, smart check posts, apart from drone technology to check illegal mining will be completed soon.
Amit Sharma says that he himself will hold a review meeting on a weekly basis so that the work of digitization of the mining department is completed soon. According to him, apart from bringing transparency and accountability in the department, the decision of digitization of the department to deal with all kinds of challenges will solve all kinds of problems and the people of the state will also see its happy results on the ground soon.
