Rajouri, July 19: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to discuss and finalize the arrangements for launching ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign in the District.
At the outset of the meeting, it was apprised that under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Government has launched “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign to encourage people to hoist the National flag at their homes to mark the 75th Independence Day.
Detailed deliberations were held on different aspects of the campaign and the DC directed the officers to assess the demand for flags required for hoisting on Institutional and Residential buildings across the district under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Programme.
The DC said the programme was aimed at invoking a feeling of patriotism in the hearts of people and promoting a sense of respect for the symbols of Independence.
While finalising the arrangements, the Assistant Commissioner Development Rajouri was entrusted with the responsibility to purchase the flags and he would also ensure the implementation of the campaign at Panchayat level.
The DC also called for coordination and cooperation among all stakeholders to make the initiative a grand success and exhorted upon them to conduct an exercise for collection of funds at school level through active involvement of Students/NGOs and PRIs.
