Jammu Jun10:- To take cognizance of public grievances, Dr. Vikas Sharma, Coordinator Jammu District Urban and Secretary Central Zone National Conference, Jammu paid a visit in ward No 47 and 48 and patiently listened to the problems of the people of these wards as also large numbers of youth narrated their burning issues as well

Addressing people, Dr. Vikas said that eversince BJP took over the reign into its hand, besides general public, majority of youth have  totally been broken and gone into a state of desperation due to anti youth policies of the present government. He urged young generation to strengthen the hands of National Conference enabling it to redouble its efforts to get the status of Jammu and Kashmir statehood restored.

While sharing the achievements and good work done by National Conference during its governance, Dr. Vikas disclosed that during NC Government when Omar Abdullah was Chief Minister, he provided Degree College in each tehsil of erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir as even buildings and faculty were also made available to start functioning of colleges. But this government did nothing to improve the structural facilities in the colleges, he added.

Referring to the recent row of PSI selection list attracting flak from youth in a section of press media and local portals, Dr Vikas said that during the tenure of Omar Abdhulla Government unemployed youth were provided jobs through fair and transparent selection.

Upon the complaints of people and youth about bad conditions of streets and broken water pipes, Dr Vikas on spot took up the matter with the concerned XEN on phone, who said that he would try to take an immediate action for redressal of public grievance in the wards.

Dr Vikas said that we have standing instructions from our party President Dr Farooq Abdhulla to keep in constant touch with the people at the grass root level and take note of their problems for appropriate solution and timely disposal.

Hence it is my duty to be with the public all the time and my doors are always open for the people, who can share their grievances twenty four hours, Dr. Vikas added.
