Ramnagar Nay 31 :- Annual pilgrimage yatra of Sri Baba JugDev Sthan concluded today amidst thousands of devotees paying obeisance at the holy shrine which is situated at a location which is situated at highest altitude in Udhampur district.  The said shrine is of great tourist significance as it has lush green, limitless meadows all around.

Mr. Ranbir Singh Pathania, Spokesperson BJP who was the chief guest on the occasion congratulated the people for the successful conduct of the yatra and distributed the prizes to the participants. He said that Udhampur district and particularly Jammu province has immense potentialities for creating of a tourism pilgrimage circuit.

The programme was started with unfurling of national flag and singing of national anthem. A colorful programme which was organized by the local development committee mesmerized the people. Local artists performed especially Subash Brahmanu and party performed with their public popular numbers. Mr. Radhe Shyam and Mr. Shamsher Singh conducted the proceedings of the programme. Mr. Baldev Singh President of the Managing committee presented the vote of thanks.

Mr. Pathania further asked for developing community toilets, walkways upto the shrine, road connectivity and projecting the shrine on the tourist map of J&K.

The popular shrines, mostly, which were built during the times of Pandavas need to be nurtured. This will widen the base of tourism promotion avenues, give local employment.  He called for promoting pilgrimage tourism in all- popular shrines, may it be the all popular temples of Sri Pingla Mata, Sri Chountra Mata and Sri Marada Mata, Sukrala Mata and Balasundri Mata, Sri Narsingh Ji temples at Ramnagar, Majalta, Aapshambhu temples of Dalsar and Khoon, Vasuki Naag temples at Dudu Basantgarh and Kote. May it be popular Sudh Mahadev temple, temples of Krimchi, Bavour & Sankari.  Mr. Pathania further called for speeding up the provision of basic  facilities/amenities in the area.

He said that this region has exquisite climate, beautiful topography which qualifies for nurturing it as a modal tourist destination while enroute to Sri Vaishno Mata Temple and Kashmir lacs of local devotees visit these religious spots every year.  Terming it as a  viable circuit connotes that people coming from across the state are able to relish best out of these facilities while en route their way to Srinagar.

Mr Pathania further said picturesque spots of R.C Peak, Parli Dhar, Dudu Basantgarh and Pancheri also need to be developed in order to nurture employment abilities as well as developmental potential in the area.
