Jammu Apr 16 :- Jammu & Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party, Vice-President, S. Varinderjeet Singh, while discussing the implementation of various welfare schemes in Poonch with party leaders of the district in a meeting at party headquarter, said that a lot has been done during the last over seven years and the results are visible on ground in every area of the Union Territory like other parts of the country.
- Varinderjeet Singh said that it has happened for the first time in the history of India that a government at the centre has undertaken record number of schemes aimed at the socio-economic upliftment of the poor, downtrodden. This government has included every section of the society in its schemes.
The BJP leader said that the most important schemes which are benefitting large population include Gold Health Card, Awas Yojana, enhancement in pension for widows, old aged people. Today, there has been deep decline in cases related to firing across the borders. A sense of security has been induced among the people there. The people living along the borders are feeling safer due to the fact that the present government in India is in the hands of a strong leadership, which has, time and again, sent very clear message that there cannot be any compromise on the security of the borders and its people. He stressed upon the party leaders of the Poonch to devote time in reaching the people with the programmes and policies of the BJP government, educate them about the welfare schemes and also help them in availing the benefits of the same.
J&K BJP Spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan, senior leader S. Kulwant Singh Bhatti, J&K BJP Minority Morcha Coordinator S. Gurdeep Singh Khalsa and Poonch District Good Governance Department Convenor S. Amritpal Singh were present in the meeting.
