Kathua, April 14: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rahul Yadav on Thursday expressed anguish over the tragic death of a tribal woman in a Bus-Cart accident at Londi Morh, Hiranagar.
The accident happened when a convoy of Tribal was hit by a speedy bus in which a lady member of the tribal group lost her life and few others were injured.
Terming the accident as highly unfortunate, the Deputy Commissioner said the bereaved family has been provided Rs 1 Lakh as an immediate relief under Red Cross Fund, while Rs 50,000 has been given in Cash to the bereaved family. He said a case is also being processed under the Road Accident Victim Fund to compensate the family.
