Jammu Apr 12 :- Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has become one of the successful countries that developed its own vaccines, said Ashok Koul.

Lecturer Incharge Dr. Neha Choudhary, Medical Officer Dr. Vanita Kotwal, Sr. Pharmacist Prithpal Singh, Lab Asst. Kewal Krishan, Lab. Asst. & Verifier Pankaj Gupta, NO Suraj Prakash, FMPHW Puneet Kour, FMPHW Preeti, Shehnaz and others were felicitated on the occasion.

Ashok Koul, after felicitating the medical and paramedical staff along with the beneficiaries of Covid Vaccination praised the medical and paramedical staff for their dedication and perseverance in serving the society in this Covid torn time and lauded the resolve of masses to face the crisis united.

Koul said that under the dynamic leadership of PM Modi, India has become one of the successful countries that developed its own vaccines. He said that the production of locally researched and developed vaccines earned a big boost for India’s medical system. It is remarkable that India developed covid vaccines in a very short period which was not the case earlier. It took 83 years to bring a vaccine for Japani Encephalitis, 23 years for Polio, 54 years for Tetanus, 30 years for Chicken Box. The Centre’s support and encouragement played a vital role in mass production of vaccines. India’s vaccine production capacity and inoculation of doses to larger population in a short period are far better than many developed countries. The world countries have applauded the efforts of PM Narendra Modi for swiftly vaccinating people. The Modi government earned praise from across the world for exporting large numbers of vaccine doses to the countries in need.

“The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi announced free vaccines to all on 7 June 2021. In the budget 2021-22, 35,000 crore allocated for free vaccination to all which was later revised to Rs 39,000 crore. The Centre has proposed a support of Rs 5,000 crore to states for COVID-19 vaccination as part of the Union budget for the year 2022-23” Koul added.

Arvind Gupta while sharing the details of the programme said that while the BJP is celebrating Pakhwada of 14 different public welfare schemes of Modi government, the present day is dedicated to the free Covid Vaccination schemes. He said that with the spirit of providing the citizens of India with a safe, efficacious, affordable and accessible COVID-19 Vaccine, at the earliest, Modi government ensured every possible step. He informed that all the BJP leaders including elected representatives have done awareness programmes at various places up to Mandal level to commemorate the event.

Doctors thanked BJP leaders for their appreciation and informed about almost 100% administration of vaccination to 18+ population. They informed that 2,23,41,000 doses of vaccine have already been administered in J&K and about 187 Crore doses in all over India which is ¼ of world population.
