Jammu March 31 :- Deputy Mayor JMC Adv. Purnima Sharma, conducted an aggressive tour of various temples of Jammu city including Maa Bawe Walli Temple, Bahu Fort, Ragunath Temple, Panjbaktar Temple and many more.
The inspection was conducted by the Hon’ble Deputy Mayor in view of the upcoming Navratra Festival. During the inspection, the condition of lights, road and sanitation was inspected in the presence of the concerned Hon’ble Corporators, Health Office JMC Sanjogita Sudan and her team of officals from the health section, officials of the Transport section JMC, Officials of the engineering section, Officials from the Electric section JMC and prominent citizens of the area.
Speaking during the inspection, Deputy Mayor Adv. Purnima Sharma said that today she along with her complete team of JMC Officials including Health Officer and her team, Executive Engineers of Electric and Engineering Department along with their respective teams of AEE’s and JE’s are inspecting Kali Mata Temple Bahu Fort, Ragunath Temple, Panjbaktar Temple and others in view of the upcoming Navratra Festival starting from 02 April 2022.
She further said that Kali Mata Temple, Ragunath Temple and other temples where a large number of devotees visit during the navratra festival to get the blessings of the almighty. It is out duty to provide them, hygienic and illuminated environment to the devotees and locals visiting the temples.
She directed the Health Officer JMC and her team of Sanitary Officers and Supervisors to make sure that the entire area around and in the Temples is kept clear of all the garbage and dumping, and to impose heavy fines if any resident or rehri is found dumping garbage on the route to the Temple and further directed the Executive Engineer Electric to get all the street lights and high mast lights checked, along the routes of the temples in so that we can provide the devotees and locals visiting the temple a clean, hygienic and illuminated environment during the Navratra Festival.
Further more, Hon’ble Deputy Mayor wishing everyone a Happy Navratra Festival appealed to the general public to avoid the use of plastics and help JMC make Jammu plastic free and also to follow COVID-19 appropriate behaviour while visiting the temple and other public places so that everyone can be safe during the Navratra Festival.
Concerned Hon’ble Corporators and Chairman Sh. Raj Kumar, Hon’ble Councillors Sh. Sham Lal and Smt. Sharda Kumari and others, Dr. Sanjogita Sudan (Health Officer, JMC), Sh. Harvinder Singh (Executive Engineer Engineering Div-5), Sh. Rajinder Sharma (Sanitary Officer), Sh. Parshotam Kumar (Sanitary Officer) and Teams of Officials of Health Wing, Electric Wing and Engineering Wing of JMC and other prominent citizens of the area also accompanied the Hon’ble Deputy Mayor.
