Leh March 30 :- Ladakh is participating for the first time in India Handicraft Gift Fair organized by EPCH (Export promotion council for Handicrafts) showcasing Handicraft and Handloom products of Ladakh. 20 participants from both Leh & Kargil district is participating in the said event with the support of Industries and Commerce department. Various crafts are being showcased such as Pottery, Felt Toys, basket weaving , pashmina weaving, Wood carving, Stone carving, Papu making, Embroideries, Croche, etc.
Shri Upendra Prasad Singh, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles , Government of India visited the 53rd IHGF Delhi Fair 2022 today and also interacted with the exhibitors of Ladakh.
The 53RD IHGF Delhi Fair – Spring 2022 will be organized from 30 March to 03 April 2022 in physical mode at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. The fair will showcase thousands of intricately made handcrafted products from all parts of India by over 2500 leading manufacturers and exporters including display in over 900 permanent showrooms in the Expo Mart Complex. The fair is expected to further add impetus to the Handicrafts Industry in the time of global downturn imposed by the pandemic.
