DDC Chairperson Ramban chairs Council meeting to discuss formulation of District Plan- 2022-23

Ramban, March 28: Chairperson, District Development Council, Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan today chaired a meeting of council members and concerned officers to discuss modalities   for the formulation of the District Development Plan (Capex Budget) 2022-23, here in her office.

DDC Members, Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Sharma, ACP and other senior officers attended the meeting.

On the occasion, a comprehensive discussion was held wherein the Chairperson, DDC, Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan stressed ensuring public participation in the formulation of development plans at grassroots levels. She emphasized upon the PRIs to play a proactive role so that all the necessities are completed well within the stipulated time.

The Chairperson, exhorted upon the Rural Development Department to hold Gram Sabhas to incorporate the suggestions of the PRIs and locals. ”All the stakeholders should be taken on board in the formulation of development plans under Area Development Plan of DDC, BDC and PRIs in accordance with the ceiling conveyed to them and to ensure the best use of available resources” she added. She directed to inform all concerned members about the schedule of Gram Sabhas.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson took a review of progress on ongoing developmental works especially under ADF-2021-22 and the implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes and programmes. She exhorted to ensure that these schemes are implemented effectively at the ground level.

Earlier, the ADDC, who is the Chief Executive Officer of the council, gave a detailed résumé of the plan where he highlighted various aspects associated with the district plan.
