Jammu March 26 :- Indian Army organised a lecture on “Importance of Education” at Govt Higher School, Lam, tehsil Naushera in District Rajouri (J&K) for the local populace. The program was attended by students and prominent persons of the villages. The lecture covered important aspects like the power of knowledge and prominence of education in our life.
There is a need to facilitate quality education and infrastructure for these students. The school is a home away from home for many student. There is no denying how significant a school is in shaping up a student’s personality and holistic learning process. An experienced teacher and teaching pedagogy play a critical role in shaping students academic lives. Indian Army provisioned study material, books and stationery to “Below Poverty Line” students from the villages. Majority of students enrolled at Govt Middle School hail from the economically weaker section.
The effort of Indian Army will contribute towards the interest of students in their academics and will also aid the students and their poor families towards saving on expenditure in purchasing of books. Headmaster, teachers, Sarpanch and parents of the students present during the event appreciated and lauded the efforts of Indian Army in assisting the students of border schools and giving impetus to Role of Education.
