Kupwara, March 26: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today inaugurated 10 days Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) under Tejaswini scheme of Mission Youth programme, here in presence of concerned officers.
The training program is being conducted by J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) and Employment Department Kupwara for the approved applicants of Tejaswini Scheme which is a Mission Youth Initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC impressed upon the participants to take maximum benefit of the training which shall help them to start their business units to generate livelihood for themselves and others.
He said that the aim of entrepreneurship development schemes like Tejaswini is to make unemployed youth, particularly women self-reliant and independent. He urged them to prove themselves as best entrepreneurs and become job givers instead of job seekers.
On the occasion, DNO JKEDI, Iftikhar Bashir and Nodal Officer Mission Youth Employment, Nizam Wani briefed the participants about the Tejaswini Scheme and other Mission Youth initiatives.
