Baramulla, March 23: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Baramulla in collaboration with Floriculture Department today organized a Plantation Drive at District Court Complex, Baramulla.
The plantation drive was kick started by Principal District and Sessions Judge Baramulla, Mohammad Yousuf Wani by planting saplings at District Court premises.
On the occasion, Ist Additonal District and Sessions Judge, Baramulla, Muhammad Ashraf Khan, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Baramulla, Fariqa Nazir, Special Mobile Magistrate Baramulla, Sajad-ul-Rahman also planted different kinds of saplings and highlighted the importance of Plantation and Forest Conservation meant for Sustainable Environment for future and present generations.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Baramulla said that the purpose of the plantation drive was to make the Court Complex green and beautify the landscape and Court premises. He further stressed the need for sustainable plantation drives in the district Baramulla to protect the environment.
Moreover, Secretary DLSA Baramulla said that the District Legal Services Authority, Baramulla often conducts plantation drives and highlights the importance of protecting the environment. She further impressed upon the concerned departments to intensify the Plantation drives across the district by planting different kinds of saplings.
