Jammu, March 10: Continuing his endeavour to provide more & better development & civic amenities to the people of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor JMC alongwith Sh. Hardeep Singh Mangotia Chairman Swacch Bharat Committee JMC, Sh. Ajay Gupta Chairman Social Justice committee, Madam Ritu Chowdhary Councillor of ward no. 7 today laid the foundation stone of laying of cone tiles as well as Bituminous premix carpet within the complex of Town Hall Jammu.
Madam Shivani Bhan Chief Accounts Officer, Er. Firdos Ahmed Qazi Executive Engineer, Er. Neeraj Vaid Assistant Executive Engineer, Er. K.K Bali Junior Engineer and other supervisory staff of project division as well as other officials of different wings of JMC were also remained present there during the function.
Speaking on the occasion, mayor said that JMC has already taken up the job of providing best possible civic & development amenities in every ward of the city in consultation with concerned councilor of the ward. Besides this, large number of projects under Jammu Smart City Ltd. has either been completed or under progress to make Jammu city, neat, clean & green city.
He added that the office of JMC which is situated in the heart of city and large number of public & dignitaries from different walks of life visits at this site on daily basis in connection with their issues and the road/entry point leading to the office has become damaged & after the hectic efforts of elected representatives as well as Commissioner of JMC, this much needed development work by way of laying of cone tiles as well as Bituminous premix carpet has been started today with an estimate cost of Rs. 63 Lacs only in which besides laying of cone tiles & black topping, one beautiful fountain will also be installed in front of the main building as well as the area around the complex is also proposed to be upgraded by constructing drains, repairing, plastering & painting walls around the area.
He directed the Project division & concerned contractor to complete the work within stipulated time frame, by applying best quality construction material for its long durability so that the general public who visits in this office as well as staff of JMC may be benefited in near future.
