Ramban, March 08: District Development Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today inaugurated an Entrepreneurship Development Programme organised by the Employment Department for the aspiring women entrepreneurs under Tejaswini scheme of Mission Youth, here at DE&CC, Ramban.
The EDP training is being provided to 50 female registered candidates and shall be trained for basic business management over the next 10-days by the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute under Tejaswini Scheme of Mission Youth.
While interacting with the participants, the Deputy Commissioner assured them all possible support from District Administration to help them establish fresh business ventures and up-scaling of the existing small business units after the completion of training.
The DC said the youth in the district have a potential to excel in any field. “I congratulate you all for choosing entrepreneurship as your career. Dream big so that you can achieve big,” he added.
Being the chairman of the District Level implementation committee, he assured to personally monitor the progress of the training program and disposal of their respective files once they are complete in all respects.
It was informed that the candidates have chosen varied activities in the sectors like Manufacturing, Trading, Agri-allied and Services sector to earn their livelihood in a decent manner.
Assistant Director Employment, Naresh Kumar, who is also the Nodal Officer Mission Youth, informed that after the training program, the aspirants shall be provided financial linkage of Rs. 5 lakh from JK Bank under Mundra Scheme for establishment of their respective business ventures. He also urged the trainees to take full advantage of the training program and facilities being provided to them.
Earlier, District Nodal Officer JKEDI Ramban, Yash Paul presented a detailed report on achievements of JKEDI in the district. He presented the welcome address, while Gull Mohammad Wani, Office Associate presented the vote of thanks.
