NC stands for secularism, communal harmony: Dr. Vikas

Jammu, March 2: National Conference stands for secularism and communal harmony in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It was said by Dr. Vikas Sharma, Secretary Central Zone,JKNC while addressing media persons outside University of Jammu.

The NC leaders had organized a simple but impressive event outside Jammu University to mark Shivratri celebration, wherein, Halwa Prashad was distributed among the students, teachers and the passerby. On the occasion, blankets were also distributed to the auto drivers.

Dr. Vikas Sharma said that National Conference was committed to uphold the secular ethos and to promote communal harmony in the region. He said, “NC never indulges in divisive politics and our party leadership has a clear message to stand and fight for secularism in the Union Territory of J&K. The party high command has asked the cadre to reach out the needy people and help them out in every possible manner”.

“We are here to promote socio-politics and not to indulge in vote bank politics”, he added and further said that certain parties were hell bent to divide people on communal and regional lines which is unacceptable and are now stands exposed.

Bharat Bhushan, Secretary Central Zone, while speaking on the occasion said that NC is the only party which irrespective of caste, colour and creed stands with all religions and regions of the JKUT. He said that NC will never allow anyone to disrupt the communal and social fabric of the region.

Mahesh Bakshi Provincial President NCSU also spoke on the occasion. Others who were present on the occasion include Rahul Mahajan (Vice President Central Zone), Sumit Giri, Vikshay Vashist, Rashid Shah, Kapil Sharma, Rahul Thakur, Sahil Manhas, Pankaj Rakwal, Veneet Giri, Pankaj Pandit, Aamer Khan,Junaid, Vijay Sharma, Rajinder Singh, Bhushan Kumar,Sushil Sharma,Tilak, Rohit Sharma, Ashwani Kumar, Mohinder Singh, Narinder Singh, and other.
