Anantnag Admin Reaches Out to Families of 2 Students Stuck in Conflict-torn Ukraine

Srinagar, Mar 1 : Anantnag administration Tuesday visited families of two students stuck in Conflict-torn Ukraine, to apprise them of the efforts being made by the GoI regarding safe evacuation of students.

An official in the knowhow of things told  that Tehsildar Pahalgam/Sallar Dr. Mohammad Hussain Mir, on the directions of Government and Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, visited the families at H.K Sofipora Tehsil Sallar District Anantnag , whose children namely Saqlain Ali Bhat son of Ali Mohd Bhat and Meer Sehrun Nisa daughter of Ali Mohd Meer are pursuing higher education/MBBS at Ukraine.

The visiting officer, the official said, apprised the families about the efforts of GoI regarding evacuation of the students and people of India studying in Ukraine.

“Full support and redressal of every kind of grievance was assured to the families on behalf of GoI”, the official added.

Notably, GoI launched ‘Operation Ganga’ in the last week of February month to bring back stranded students and Indian citizens from the conflict-torn Ukraine. (GNS)
