Jammu, Feb 26:- Continuing his endeavour to provide more development amenities to the citizens of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation alongwith Sh. Surinder Sharma Councillor of ward no.38 today kick started the construction work of a community Hall within the premises of Shiv Shakti Dham Mandir at Sec no. 2 Pamposh Colony, Janipur Jammu of ward no.38.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor told that it was the long pending demands of the Mandir Committee as well as inhabitants of the localities as they were facing great hardships due to non-availability of a Community hall in the area where they can perform religious/social functions and with the sincere efforts of the local councillor, this much needed development work has been started today with an allotted amount of Rs. 40 Lacs only.
He directed the concerned contractor to complete this work within stipulated time frame by applying best quality construction material and also asked the Engineers of works Div-II to keep strict vigil on daily basis on this ongoing construction work of Community Hall and also assure that the more funds will be released if required on the remaining work of this Hall so that the public may be benefitted from this facility. He further said that no ward will be deprived of basis amenities and development of every citizen is our main motto and added that many projects are in pipeline of Jammu which will change the face of the Jammu City
Mayor also met with the locals, listened to their general issues regarding proper sanitation, lifting of stray dogs and animals on routine basis, installation and rectification of LED street lights in the left over areas, construction of remaining lanes and drains in the ward and other related matters. Mayor assured that all their genuine issues will be taken up on priority basis.
Mandir Committee members extended much gratitude for the Mayor & local Councillor for visiting the area & considering their demands. Sh. Raveesh Mengi BJP Janipur Mandal Pardhan, Mr. J.L Bamzai President, J.K Khar Gen. Secretary of Shiv Shakti Dham Temple, S.K Raina, Chander Chawla, T.S Nagi, B.J Majoo, Surinder Dhar, Lalit Luthra A.K Sapru, Raj Kumar Bhan as well as Mr. Kishore Kumar Executive Engineer, Mr. Kuldeep Raj Assistant Executive Engineer, Mr. Ranjan Sharma Junior Engineer and other supervisory staff of works Div-II were also remained present there during the occasion.
