The Director Agriculture handed over Policy Papers of Fasal Bima to 15 farmers of Jammu District.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director Agriculture outlined that purpose of the drive is to deliver crop insurance policies to the farmers at their doorstep under “Meri Policy Mere Hath” and to ensure that all the farmers are made aware and equipped with all information of their policy, process of claims and grievances redress under PMFBY.

“PMFBY is a flagship scheme of Government of India (GOI) and is aimed at providing financial support to the farmers in case of crop losses arising out of natural calamities” , he said.
