PHE Jammu appoints REPL as Monitoring Agency for Jal Jeevan Mission

Jammu, February 24, 2022: Jal Shakti Department, Jammu has appointed Delhi-based infrastructure consultancy company, Rudrabhishek Enterprises Ltd (REPL) for inspection and quality monitoring of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) program in 10 districts of Jammu Division. The agreement was signed between Er. Manesh K. Bhat (Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti (PHE) Department, Jammu) and Dr. Harish Sharma (ED-REPL).

Through this project government is providing functional household tap connection to every rural household by 2024. The focus is on ensuring regular water supply in adequate quality and prescribed quantity. REPL will carry out inspection of all engineering works related to civil, mechanical and electrical components executed under in-village infrastructure of JJM. The work will also include sample checking of material used for construction, safety measures, quality control and payment to the laborers by the executing party.

Mr. Pradeep Misra, CMD-REPL said, “Provisions of portable water is essential to a quality living condition. Through JJM government is aggressively increasing its spread. However, it is very critical that the highest level of quality is ensured in plan implementation. Our extensive experience in large scale water supply projects will help us in carrying out this assignment effectively.”

Dr. Harish Sharma, ED-REPL said, “REPL will assist the Jal Shakti Department in effective supervision, quality monitoring and transparency in implementation of JJM program. We will review, inspect and monitor the construction works, quality tests to verify the adherence of quality control, safety measures, and streamline the quality control and payment process. We will also monitor the functioning of infrastructure during trail run.”

There are more than 1800 schemes spread over 10 districts of Jammu division i.e. Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Reasi, Ramban, Doda, Kishtwar, Rajouri and Poonch. REPL is already associatedwith Jal Jeevan Missionat multiple locations under various capacities. Development of Tourism Projects in Jammu province and Third Party Monitoring Agency for PWD, Ladakh are some prominent engagement of company in the region.
