Leh, Feb 24:  Leh Block Task Force Committee held a meeting to finalise the strategies and action plan for the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) Programme-2022 at Primary Health Centre (PHC), Chuchot today.

Incharge Block Medical Officer, Leh Dr Dolma Choskit informed about the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization Programme, scheduled for February 27, where children up to 5 years are to be vaccinated.

Incharge BMO Leh informed that a total target of 5921 children below 5 years, including 4853 locals and 438 non-local would be covered. To ensure maximum coverage 139 booths are set up with four staff members in each booth and mobile teams are also formed. 556 medical and paramedical staff including ASHAs and Anganwadi workers are part of the polio immunization drive.

The meeting was attended by Naib Tehsildar, Chuchot, Mohd Rahulla; Incharge Block Medical Officer (BMO), Leh, Dr Dolma Choskit; Block Development Officer (BDO), Chuchot, Tsewang Dorjay; Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Leh, Shakila Bano; Zonal Resource Person (ZRP), Chuchot, Phunchok Namgail and Assistant Exhibition and Cultural Officer (AE&CO), Information Department, Leh, Stanzin Wangmo.
