Jammu, February 20: National Training Course (NTC) of 21 Days on “Sustainable Entrepreneurship in Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Allied Sectors for Economic Development of India” is going to be jointly organized by Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ), SKUAST-JAMMU, J&K and Agro Environmental Development Society, Uttar Pradesh via virtual mode.

This was informed by President SKUAST-TAJ  and Course Director of the training programme Dr Vikas Sharma. He further informed that Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-JAMMU Dr. J.P. Sharma, who happened to be the Chief Patron of  21 days NTC will inaugurate the course through online mode on 01st March 2022 in the presence of Director Education SKUAST-J Dr Rakesh Nanda, Dean Basic Sciences Dr. S.E.H. Rizvi, Chief Course Coordinator Md. Nadeem Akhtar and other dignitaries / participants.  Dr Vikas stressed that training for entrepreneurship development enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes of producers for managerial decision making / implementation in the unique context of sustainable agribusiness which is different from regular business environment and it encourages entrepreneurial capabilities to make them effective change agents and develops capabilities to become leaders in entrepreneurial activities.

Dr. Chhatarpal Singh, President, Agro Environmental Development Society and Organizing Chairman of this academic activity informed that during the COVID19 pandemic, the country’s policy of promotion of locals upto global level has gone in a far way. Therefore, entrepreneurship development is very much important and this training programme will facilitate / aware about skill based / job oriented opportunities to the scientists, teachers, students of agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, social sciences, fisheries / allied sectors so that they can utilize the concepts for getting themselves acquainted to prepare and manage result oriented research projects, self-employment and entrepreneurship in their respective fields.
