Kulgam, February 21: To enhance the capacities of various child protection functionaries for the implementation of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and Model Rules 2016 in the district, the integrated Child Protection Services under the supervision of District Administration Kulgam with the support of UNICEF has started Six days training programme in Govt. Hr. Secondary School Qaimoh, here.
Tehsildar Qaimoh, Bashir Ahmad Khan kick-started the scheduled programme.
In these training programmes members of various Village Level Child Protection Committees (VLCPCs) including, Sarpanchs, Teachers, Numberdars, chowkidars, Anganwadi workers, Aasha workers and respectable citizens Students will be provided training about the JJ Act 2015, POCSO Act, child rights and their role in various child protection activities in the district.
During todays programme, speakers and resource persons apprised participants about the various provisions of Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act, 2015, Protection of children from Sexual Offences Act 2012, Child rights and their role vis-à-vis child protection services.
