Kupwara, February 18: The District Level Screening cum Coordination Committee (DLSCC), which met here under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kupwara, Imam Din today settled 11 cases.
A total of 24 cases of different categories were put forth for discussion, out of which 4 cases related to SRO-43 have been cleared subject to the fulfilment of all codal formalities. Besides, one case of Army Personnel have been cleared for SRO-43 and exgratia relief of Rs.1 lakh. One case of Agriculture department and 2 death cases have been deferred for want of latest report from Police and CID.
Moreover, 8 cases relating to civilians have been rejected outrightly as they were not covered by the guidelines of SRO-43. 5 cases of related to injury were also taken up out of which 3 cases were settled for Rs.5000 each and rest of the 2 were deferred for obtaining report from police and CMO Kupwara.
3 property related cases have been cleared in partial damage category at Rs.5200 each.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC stressed upon the concerned officers to speed up the disposal of pending cases in their offices so that timely settlement could be done in the next meeting of DLSCC.
