Jammu Feb 17 :- Shaheed Signalman Chandan Kumar Krishi Mela was organized by the Indian Army to commemorate the sacrifice of the gallant soldier in service to the Nation. The Krishi Mela, which was conducted in three phases from 12 Feb to 14 Feb 2022 at Saroti, Chhatral and Mankote, educated the farmers on important aspects of soil conservation technology, crop production, seed treatment, balanced use of fertilizers, insect and pest induced disease control etc. Participation from civil departments responsible for agriculture and horticulture facilitated in the successful conduct of the Krishi Mela.
The event was attended by a large number of local farmers and other prominent members of the Society who appreciated the efforts of the Indian Army in organizing the Mela and educating them on various farming practices.
