Jammu Feb 17 :- Increase in the number of vehicles plying on the roads today, necessitates that users are responsible while driving and follow all safety instructions. To spread awareness about various traffic rules and make safe driving a habit amongst the local populace, Indian Army conducted a lecture on “Road Safety” at Nambal Village, Poonch District.
The lecture highlighted the fact that Poonch being a hilly region, requires the drivers to be extra cautious while on road and provide due allowance for the terrain and weather. The attendees were also educated about various aspects contributing towards safe roads like, following traffic rules, importance of wearing seat belts and helmets, maintenance of vehicles etc. The lecture ended with a commitment from the attendees that the message of road safety will be spread amongst their community and they would follow all traffic rules while driving.
