Kupwara, February 15: The Director, Rural Development Department (RDD) Kashmir, Tariq Ahmad Zargar today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of developmental works under various schemes being implemented by RDD in Kupwara district.
It was informed in the meeting that Rs.1222.30 lakh have been approved under Community Development (including BDC/DDC Office) for the year 2021-22 out of which Rs.364.54 lakh have been received and Rs.150.59 have been expended so far.
Regarding physical achievement, it was informed that 250 works were approved in the current financial year out of which 210 were taken up and 88 works have been completed till date.
It was also informed that under Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) Kupwara, Rs.353.90 lakh have been approved out of which Rs.245.88 lakh were received and Rs.123.18 lakh have been expended.
On the occasion, the Director stressed upon the officers to gear up the pace of work and ensure completion of all ongoing works within the stipulated time frame.
Earlier, the Director took block wise review of the works going on in the various blocks of the district.
ACD Kupwara, Mehraj-u-din Shah; ACP, BDOs, ex. Engineer REW, AEEs and other concerned attended the meeting.
