Rajouri, February 12: Rural Development Department Rajouri has generated Twenty Six lalk Persons Days in the financial year 2021-22 till date under the flagship central schemes meant for creation of need-based assets and jobs in the rural areas.

This information was given by ACD, Sushil Khajuria while briefing the District Development Commissioner   Vikas Kundal about the physical and financial progress achieved under different Rural Development Schemes being implemented by the department, here in a meeting.

Officers present in the meeting included ACD, Sushil Khajuria; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; ACP, Abdul Rashid Kohli; ExEn REW, Bashir Ahmed and Block Development Officers.

The DDC took a thorough review of PDs generation, registration of beneficiaries on Awas plus, implementation of MGNREGA and execution of works under different heads.

The meeting was apprised that the department generated  26 Lakh man days till date. The DDC asked the concerned officers to take concrete measures to achieve the yearly target with regard to PDs at the earliest.

While taking stock of the number of beneficiaries registered on Awas Plus portal, the DDC asked the concerned officers to make sure that the accounts of all the registered beneficiaries are seeded with aadhaar within the shortest possible time. He also asked them to submit the priority list under Awas plus.

He also stressed on hundred percent Aadhar based payments to the Job Card Holders engaged for  MGNREGA works. Taking stock of the progress under construction of border bunkers, the DDC asked the concerned officers to complete the works by 28 February 2022.

The uploading of information on the designated portals was also stressed. The DDC asked  for completing the exercise within three days.  He also directed the concerned authorities to resolve bottlenecks if any, to ensure smooth execution of the works.

The DDC also directed to maintain interdepartmental coordination for achieving the desired outcomes on the developmental front. He directed to expedite the progress on several vital works to provide necessary benefits to the general public.
